Event Details

Abbey Road On The River is marking its 11th year as the biggest Beatles Music Festival in the world.

In 2011 over 40,000 Beatles fans came to Louisville, over Memorial Day weekend and to Washington D.C. over Labor Day weekend to help us celebrate the four lads we all love so much.

Take a look at the fun...

What is it about these lads that transcends time, crosses generations, and ignites so much universal Love? History simply does not have an art form that parallels this phenomenon. Almost 50 years after the media inserted them in every newspaper and on every radio & tv in every home, they are still on every radio & tv station and in every newspaper, plus now also, on your game device, computer, phone, ipod........and still in every home.

June 06, 2012 marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles first recording with Pete, and September 04 the redo with Ringo, of Love Me Do at EMI Studios. Abbey Road on the River will celebrate 50 years of Beatles records in Louisville and DC in May and Sept 2012.

Yellow Submarine Docks at Abbey Road On The River

Once upon a time... or maybe twice, there was an unearthly paradise called Pepperland, a place where happiness and music reigned supreme. But all that was threatened when the terrible Blue Meanies declared war and sent in their army led by a menacing Flying Glove to destroy all that was good. Enter John, Paul, George and Ringo to save the day! Armed with little more than their humor, songs, and of course, their yellow submarine, The Beatles tackle the rough seas ahead in an effort to bring down the evil forces of bluedom. The animated classic fantasy film has been digitally restored for 4k digital cinemas frame by frame, all by hand.

San Francisco, CA (Dec. 14, 2011) — Jefferson Starship, created by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Jefferson Airplane founder Paul Kantner; and, David Freiberg, also a former Jefferson Airplane member and co-founder of the legendary Quicksilver Messenger Service - takes aim on yet another historic milestone in 2012.
Abbey Road On The River!
The band, descended from Jefferson Airplane – who performed at Monterey and Woodstock, at Altamont with the Rolling Stones, and shared the bill countless times with Grateful Dead & Janis Joplin, and whose music helped define a generation focused on civil rights, environmental awareness and anti-war activism – is set to perform their 2,000th concert since they first soared in 1974 … following the 1972 dissolution of Jefferson Airplane.
